Flashback Friday: Dr. Greger's Daily Dozen Checklist
Описание
In my book How Not to Die, I center my recommendations around a Daily Dozen checklist of all the things I try to fit into my daily routine.
Normally we just show you the science from the primary sources in the peer-reviewed medical literature, but I want NutritionFacts.org to be more than just a reference site. I want it to be a practical guide on translating this mountain of data into day-to-day decisions. So, that’s where my Daily Dozen slips into the mix. It’s available for free on Apple App Store (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dr.-gregers-daily-dozen/id1060700802?mt=8) as well as an Android app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.nutritionfacts.dailydozen), thanks to an amazing group of volunteers through our Open Source Initiative (https://nutritionfacts.org/open-source/).
Here are direct links to the two videos I referenced in the video: How Many Glasses of Water Should We Drink a Day? (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/how-many-glasses-of-water-should-we-drink-a-day/) and How Much Should You Exercise? (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/how-much-should-you-exercise).

Okay, but how do you actually incorporate those Daily Dozen foods into your diet? Check out The How Not to Die Cookbook (https://nutritionfacts.org/cookbook/) and The How Not to Diet Cookbook (https://nutritionfacts.org/book/how-not-to-diet-cookbook/) (all the proceeds I receive from that and all my books goes to the 501c3 nonprofit that runs this site), and my “In the Kitchen” videos: My New Favorite Dessert (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/dr-greger-in-the-kitchen-my-new-favorite-dessert/), My New Favorite Beverage (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/dr-greger-in-the-kitchen-my-new-favorite-beverage/), and Cran-Chocolate Pomegranate BROL Bowl (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/dr-greger-in-the-kitchen-cran-chocolate-pomegranate-brol-bowl/).
If this video inspired you to try eating the Daily Dozen, join our Daily Dozen Digest! Learn more here (https://nutritionfacts.org/daily-dozen/). Note: If you’re eating cups a day (as everyone should!) of dark green leafy vegetables I would recommend sticking to low-oxalate greens (i.e. basically any greens other than spinach, swiss chard, and beet greens). See the videos here (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/oxalates-in-spinach-and-kidney-stones-should-we-be-concerned/) and here (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/kidney-stones-and-spinach-chard-and-beet-greens-dont-eat-too-much/).
